Friend #001: Bibbles the Woggly

Friend #001 (codename: Bibbles the Woggly) was the first friend that started this hyperfixation, bibbles is an aloe vera and at time of writing has been growing for around half a year now!

Acquired: late 2024

Unfortunately when I started on this endeveor I didn't think about it being the start of winter, and at the time I couldn't put them near any windows that weren't strictly facing west. I had read that I needed to acclimate them to the sunlight so I initially kept them near a west facing window (the only window I could use at the time), but at one point while cleaning one of my roommates in an attempt to help our friend grow put them on the window and my autistic ass forgot to check on them because I couldn't see the plant anymore with the curtain that was covering them. I think this sunshocked them pretty hard, at least that's my theory. I did notice though that the pot was starting to look a little crowded with how many pups had spawned near the base though, so I removed bibbles from the pot and split off the pups into a separate pot to hopefully propogate more and give our friend some more room to grow.

I also made a little scaffold to help hold the struggling leaves up a bit, hopefully that will help while they regain their strength from the ordeal

Friends #002-#003: Greg the Spider Plant & Pibbles the Pathos

Friends #002 and #003 (codenames: Greg and Pibbles) are the newest additions to the family, a spider plant and pathos!

Acquired: 5-23-2025

I now have a south facing bay window where these two friends are now residing, my roommate recommended picking up a spider plant next since her parents had kept a spider plant since she was a kid. I've seen the original (they propogated it many manyy times) at her parents house many times, it's quite a hearty friend and still around today! :D

Alongside the spider plant I also picked up a pathos, I heard these grow really well and propogate easily, so I'm excited to have a viney friend now to watch grow

Fluffy seemed to be a very big fan of the new additions to his bird watching window as well
